NYS COVID-19 Travel Advisory

The travel guidelines require all New Yorkers, as well as those visiting from out-of-state or another country, to take personal responsibility for compliance in the best interest of public health and safety. Travelers from Canada, crossing at land borders subject to the agreement between the governments of the United States and Canada, are permitted to travel in accordance with said federal agreement and need not quarantine solely due to such federally authorized travel. Travelers flying between the US and Canada must follow the CDC guidance for international travel.

Your Guide to Masks and Face Coverings in NYS

New York State guidelines state that those visitors who are fully vaccinated do not need to wear masks in businesses.  However, if you are unvaccinated a mask is required.  Please note, business owners can require masks if they choose, so it is best to have one on hand.  Many businesses will notify their visitors of their regulations with specific mask signage posted on the doors or windows of their establishments.

Masks are required on planes, buses, trains, and other forms of public transportation traveling into, within, or out of the United States and in U.S. transportation hubs such as airports and stations.

Social Distancing and Sanitation

We encourage you, when possible, to still be mindful of social distancing practices, especially when unvaccinated or at events and gatherings.  More CDC guidance on this topic can be found here.

Quick tip: Packing a little hand sanitizer and disinfecting wipes is highly encouraged, they may come in handy!
