The City of Plattsburgh is excited to announce the official opening of the Plattsburgh City Beach for the 2025 season on Friday, May 23! This year, several upgrades have been made to enhance the experience, and parking permits can now be obtained online. With summer around the corner, we are ready to welcome the community back to the lake.
New restroom facilities, family restroom and an outdoor foot wash station on the west side of the main beach building.

● Updated beach safety equipment with new anchors, ropes, and buoys
The City has also launched a newly updated City Beach page on the Discover Plattsburgh website: www.discoverplattsburgh.com/city-beach. This page includes beach amenities, upcoming events, tips for visitors, and directions for those traveling to Plattsburgh.
Summer Events at the Beach
The Plattsburgh City beach is excited to host both local and regional events this summer at the city beach. Highlights include the Lake City Running Festival, annual Mayor’s Cup Regatta and Festival, Mayor’s Cup concert, beach wrestling tournament, watercross tournament and more!
