Montreal Ensemble La Folia

Ensemble La Folia was formed by the renowned harpsichordist Hank Knox and violinist-violists Catherine Cosbey and Dorian Bandy. Hank Knox has the distinction of having led McGill University’s Early Music Program for three decades, while Cosbey and Bandy currently serve on the faculty of McGill’s Early Music Program. All three artists maintain a rigorous international schedule performing and teaching masterclasses.

Featured works are Trio Sonata in D minor "La Folia" of Antonio Vivaldi; Partita VI in D major of Heinrich Biber; Chaconne in E minor of Dietrich Buxtehude (for harpsichord solo); Sonata III in F major of Biber; Trio Sonata in E flat major of Johann Sebastian Bach; Suite in D major “Gulliver’s Travels” of Georg Philipp Telemann; and Trio Sonata in G major of George Frideric Handel.
