Fort Ticonderoga Plans Fighter Jet Flyover by Modern-Day Green Mountain Boys

The modern-day Green Mountain Boys of the Vermont Air National Guard’s (VTANG) 134th Fighter Squadron will honor their ancestry next week by flying a pair of F-35 Lightning II fighter jets over Fort Ticonderoga. Their flight will pass directly over the same location where Ethan Allen’s Green Mountain Boys joined Benedict Arnold in capturing the British garrison at Ticonderoga in May 1775, marking the first American victory of the Revolution.
