The Plattsburgh Public Library invites the community to a free publicscreening of the 2025 PBS documentary Free for All: The Public Library on Saturday,November 22, 2025, at 6:00 p.m. at the StrandCenter for the Arts.
Following the screening, local library staff will host a Q&A session todiscuss the film and share insights about the vital role public libraries playin our community today.
Freefor All: Inside the Public Library tells the story of the quietrevolutionaries who made a simple idea possible: a place where everyone iswelcome and everything is free. From the pioneering women behind the “FreeLibrary Movement” to today’s librarians who serve the public amid challengessuch as closures and book bans, the film celebrates the enduring power ofaccess, inclusion, and public service.
