The Adirondack Coast VCB to Exhibit at Montreal Consumer Shows This Week
The Visitors Bureau Continues its Outreach to the Montreal Market

Plattsburgh – 3/15/10 –The Adirondack Coast Visitors & Convention Bureau (VCB) will continue its aggressive outreach to the Montreal market by exhibiting at two consumer shows this week.

Representing the Adirondack Region as well as Plattsburgh International Airport, the Adirondack Coast Visitors & Convention Bureau will exhibit at ExpoGolf Acura at Palais de congres from March 19-21.  The show is expected to attract more than 15,000 golf enthusiasts.  Paul Dame, owner of Bluff Point Golf Resort & Cottages in Plattsburgh, has helped staff the booth the past few years.  Dame, who will be returning to the show once again, said, “It’s great to be able to help market our region to a population that is very interested in what we have to offer."

Aside from promoting area courses, the VCB is also promoting golf destinations which can be reached via Plattsburgh International Airport such as Myrtle Beach, SC.  Michele Powers, Director of the Adirondack Coast Visitors & Convention Bureau, stated, ““Having the ability to cross-promote our region’s attractions and the airport has been tremendous.  The airport is top-of mind for most Montrealers so it’s a great way to start the conversation.   We can then remind them of all the great opportunities right in their own back yard and back it up with a list of activities, events as well as maps and travel packages.  It’s been very successful for us.”

The Adirondack Coast Visitors & Convention Bureau will also man a booth at the Montreal Home Show from March 19-28 at Place Bonaventure.  With more than 200,000 people expected to attend, Powers sees it as a cost effective way to generate top-of mind awareness with a large number of people.  This is the fourth year in a row that the VCB has attended the show.
