The Adirondack Coast Bass Boat Makes its Hometown Debut

Plattsburgh – 7/15/2010 –The Adirondack Coast Visitors & Convention Bureau recently unveiled its latest marketing vehicle, the Adirondack Coast Bass Boat, to promote its world-class bass fishery, Lake Champlain.  The Adirondack Coast Bass Boat will make its debut on Lake Champlain starting today in the FLW American Fishing Series July 15-17.

Derrick Martineau, a pro bass angler from Ausable Forks, NY, 30 miles southwest of Plattsburgh, will be driving his 2008 Ranger Bass Boat emblazed with “the Adirondack Coast – Lake Champlain in the Adirondacks.”   Martineau will be competing as a pro in the FLW’s American Fishing Series this week on Lake Champlain.

Martineau is extremely excited to be on his home territory and confident about his chances having fished on this lake his entire life.  The last three days he has been on the lake scouting out the perfect spots to catch the biggest bass.  Martineau stated, “I have had three strong practice days, if the fish are biting like they have been all week, I should be able to place strongly.”

Michele Powers, Director of the Adirondack Coast Visitors & Convention Bureau, said of the Adirondack Coast Bass Boat, “It serves as a moving billboard.  It’s a unique and cost effective way for us to reach out to East Coast fishermen and promote our wonderful fishery.”  BASS estimates a wrapped boat generates 138 impressions per mile traveled.

This tournament will mark the first of many for Martineau and the Adirondack Coast Bass Boat on Lake Champlain.
