Plattsburgh to Welcome Seven Pro Bass Fishing Tournaments in 2010
The ABA Weekend Series kicks off the tournament season on June 12th
Plattsburgh, NY – 06/07/10 – Saturday, June 12th marks the first of seven pro bass fishing tournaments hosted by the City of Plattsburgh and the Adirondack Coast Visitors & Convention Bureau. With more than 200 anglers participating in the ABA Weekend Series next week it’s a great start the season that will pull in roughly 2300 anglers in total.
The 2010 pro bass tournament season includes:
June 12 ABA Weekend Series
June 26 Northern Bass Supply
July 15-17 FLW American Fishing Series
July 17 FLW National Guard Fishing Series
July 22-23 Bassmaster Northern Open
August 25-28 FLW Eastern Series
September 12-17 TBF Federation
The ABA Weekend Series tournament is a one day event with 200 anglers competing for $11,000 in cash and prizes. The top 40 boaters and co-anglers from each series will be invited to a post season tournament where one lucky angler will win a chance to compete in the coveted Bassmaster Classic Tour.
The public is encouraged to attend the FREE, nationally televised weigh-ins all season long and cheer the anglers on. Weigh-in for the ABA Weekend Series will take place on Saturday, June 12 at The Naked Turtle, Dock Street, in Plattsburgh, NY at 2pm.
